My Favourite Lead Gen Tool
Lead generation doesn’t have to be complicated! One of my go-to tools is Meta’s Instant Form Ads. I’ve used this to build a successful Father’s Day campaign, generate ongoing leads for fitness studios, and even build a Women’s AFL team from scratch! It’s easy to use, can integrate with your email marketing platform, and helps you connect with potential customers quickly and easily.
Here are five reasons why this tool might work for your business:
1. Super simple to setup
Meta’s Instant Form Ads are super simple to create. Jump into Meta Ads Manager and you can setup your own form in the ‘Instant Forms’ menu in just a few clicks. Once your form is designed, it’s ready to capture leads without needing a separate landing page. Once you’ve created your form, setup your ad campaign as a ‘lead generation’ campaign and connect the form you just created. Simple!
2. Make it easy for your customer
When a user clicks your ad, the form will automatically populate with their contact details (like name and email) from their Facebook or Instagram profile. This reduces spelling errors and time spent filling out a form, and makes it much easier for people to submit their info with just a couple of clicks, increasing conversions for your business.
3. Sign off with a strong call-to-action (CTA)
Your CTA should be clear and offer something valuable in exchange for contact details. For example, “Download our free guide” or “Join our 21-Day fitness challenge.” A strong CTA drives action and encourages users to engage.
4. Supercharge your leads!
Using a tool like Zapier makes it really easy to connect your campaign with your email marketing platform. This takes your user experience to another level! Once a user submit their details, their email address will automatically be added to your email marketing platform, which then allows you to set up automated emails that thank users and expand on your offer—whether that’s delivering a guide, explaining a service, or inviting them to sign up.
5. Set It and Sort-of-Forget-It
Once your ads are running, they can generate leads while you focus on your business. However, it’s important to refresh your copy and creative every 4-6 weeks to keep it relevant and engaging for your audience. It avoids what we call ‘ad fatigue’ which is where your customers glaze over when they see your ad because they’ve seen it too many times already. It also means that Meta itself reduces how often your ad is seen by users as they determine your ad to be stale at that point too.
6. How much should you spend?
To get started, a monthly budget of anywhere between $200 to $500 is a good place to start. Somewhere in this range will give you enough room to test different ads, audiences, and CTAs. Start small, track your results, and scale up as you start to see positive return on your investment.
Meta’s Instant Form Ads are such a quick win and are an easy, effective way to generate leads for your business. Give it a try and watch your leads grow!
